The lighting and decor was very poor, which would have helped the atmosphere, otherwise the venue has hugh potential.

Myself and my friends had a brilliant time at the 1920’s mansion party. All the acts were amazing and the venue was beautiful. Highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back. They could just do to have a back up in case your gin mixologist is sick, as the poor guy left on his own was really struggling. And food options later in the evening would be really good as well.

Review of The Stanmer Revue

I and three other friends attended this event. We had brought tickets for the full evening £53 each. On our tickets it advised us to ring ahead to book our meal time. The person on the receiving end of the provided phone number had originally no knowledge of the event, but a while later we were informed to arrived at anytime 18:30-19:30. We arrived at Stanmer house at 19:15 where we were seated for dinner, but the staff had little knowledge on the event to take place that evening either. My friends and I found information was very poorly provided for the acts of the evening, therefore we had to presume they were still going ahead.
We were happy to see the evening kick off, even though we felt we were wondering room to room without little guidance, until the lovely camera lady gave us the itinerary.
Unfortunately it seemed that the itinerary was not strictly followed, and we were disappointed that some acts were either moved to another place or just cancelled without informing us.
Queuing up for the gin c**ktail took minimum 30-45 mins each time, which was surprising as the queues were not very large.
Also we did not get to see any horse box bar as mentioned in the description on one website.
In all, we tried to enjoy the acts we saw, which were very good, but poor organisation and poor communication skills let the event down. I would recommend it but hope organisation is better next time.

What a fantastic night. Everyone really made an effort with their costumes and the electro swing music was great. There were some wonderful performances with Chi Chi revolver and her hula hoops being my favourite. The drinks prices are a little steep but when else can you party in a mansion. Can't wait for the next one.

What an amazing night. The venue was stunning and the guests were all delightful and everyone had made such an effort with their costumes.. Three rooms of entertainment including vintage singers, burlesque, swing DJ's and a casino!! What more could you ask for!

Amazing event, really captured the ambience of the 1920's era. I would whole heartedly recommend any event organised by the Betty Lou Gin Club. And will be attending again for sure!

Incredible night! Loads of wonderful and varied acts throughout the evening, lovely venue, and a really nice atmosphere. Everyone was in such high spirits and seemed to really enjoy themselves. Can't wait til the next one!
