Review of Amp Fiddler (live) + Abi Flynn
Music was fantastic. Venue lovely. However I do find it highly offensive to see people dancing while standing on pews in a Church. I may be an atheist but was brought up in CoE, still respect the places that people worship in and expect others to do the same.
As a musician myself and sitting five pews back with my sound engineer, balance and distortion fields could have done with some improvement.
So managing public conduct and acoustic engineering were areas for improvement, but otherwise a brilliant night. Thank you 👍🏽:)

Review of Amp Fiddler (live) + Abi Flynn
St Mary's Church had potential acoustic wise but the speakers were placed in strange positions. Also the wooden seats were a big no no, they should have taken out the seats and just made it a standing event. Amp Fiddler was great though and gave an energetic performance.

Review of Amp Fiddler (live) + Abi Flynn
I love amp fiddler. I've seen him live before with a full band and it was one of the best shows I've seen. He played some great songs last night and his voice was still amazing, but it was a shame it was just him. There were times when you couldn't hear his voice over the music he was playing and the church was so echoey sometimes the crowd were louder than him. It made it hard to engage with what he was doing for long periods of the set. Not the end of the world, but for £20 a ticket it was a bit disappointing.

Review of OMAR (live) with support from Giorgia-May
I booked 5 tickets. Unfortunately 2 friends could not make it last minute; I had paid the extra cover for cancellation but was told on the door, that the cover was not effective at this event. So lost money. Skiddle web site should not have allowed me to purchase this if the event does not honour the insurance.
Local talent Giorgia May - the acoustics in the church, her voice was amazing. Omar sounded fabulous and played quite a lot of new stuff, personally I would have loved to hear more old tunes!

The sound quality was so bad that we had to leave after about five songs. I am a huge fan but it was totally spoilt for us. The sound system was inadequate for the venue.

Review of OMAR (live) with support from Giorgia-May
Brilliant musicians, beautiful venue but unfortunately sound quality awful. Music was lost in the vast vaulted ceiling. My husband saw Edwin Collins there a few years and said the sound production was good as more and bigger speakers. Poor music quality therefore spoiled the atmosphere.

Review of OMAR (live) with support from Giorgia-May
To be honest, I preferred the support act, Giorgia-May, to the main event. The sound for Omar was terrible and very blurred. Also, he seemed to be in a hurry to get in and out - the first half seemed to consist of about 4 songs and the second half was about the same. The break in between was longer than the set! I would not book again!

Review of OMAR (live) with support from Giorgia-May
Giorgio May is a little shining star with her unique voice, and just by chance I actually sat next to her adoring father, Greg. It's never easy to keep the audience captivated when one does an acoustic set but Gloria did this with flying colours with mostly her guitar. She has a very pure voice and melodic songs with meaning and at only 20, what an achievement. We then move on to the almighty Omar, my friend and I got front row viewing at front of stage and from that moment the church was even more alive, like a blazing hot fire, Omar's signature vocals and exceptional music had the church swaying, something spiritual happened that night and not just because I was in St Mary's Church. Omar has a glowing presence that propels the audience to thoroughly be aborbed by his singing. It was filled with ambience and such fluidity that I was dancing to every single song. Omar just got better and better until I was soaring like a bird. Truly amazing night in an unusual but beautiful venue!
