The Brighton Singers chamber choir, directed by Elizabeth Woodhouse, perform a varied range of music in celebration of the Christmas season.

 

A Partridge in a Pear Tree on Sunday 9th December 2018

Thomas Tallis’s 16th century atmospheric Psalm Tunes for Archbishop Parker’s Psalter, and Handel’s Coronation Anthem from 1727, are paired with 20th century pieces by Warlock and Chilcott. Piano, bass and percussion join the choir for Chilcott’s A Little Jazz Mass and his joyful setting of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
