Brighton Young Humanists Inaugural Event!* on Wednesday 5th December 2018
With 75% of young people in the UK now identifying as non-religious we feel it appropriate to provide better facilities for them to participate in the Humanist Community. Members will be over 18 and self-identify (credibly, of course) as 'young'. This initiative is being promoted jointly by Brighton Humanists and Young Humanists UK. The proposed group will be self-managed and will arrange its own events, but will be a part of Brighton Humanists and will maintain strong ties to both ourselves and Young Humanists UK. There will be a specific Young Members' seat on the committee and the representative will be selected only by the young members group. Both Brighton Humanists and Young Humanists UK will offer support and assistance as far as we are reasonably able bearing in mind time and budgetary constraints. Young members who join the group on the day or beforehand will be entitled to a year's free membership of Brighton Humanists and a free drink from the bar. Please, spread the word among your friends and come along to the event. If you are 'young' please join the group and volunteer for an active role. If you would like to volunteer to be an organiser or help in any other way, please email email@example.com .
