An Introduction to TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) - on Sunday 28th October 2018
If you are looking to manage stress and anxiety, or work with past trauma, TRE is a powerful yet simple tool to rebalance the nervous system through shaking.
All mammals use this natural shaking reflex to discharge the energy that builds when there is pressure or threat i.e. when automatic primitive survival stategies of hypervigilence, flight, flight or freeze kick in. However, as humans, we have learnt over time to override this natural impulse to shake involuntarily and rebalance.
This one day workshop outlines the fundamentals of TRE. You will learn the seven simple Tension Releasing Exercises and tremor twice in the day (otherwise known as having two 'shakes' as we call them).
The day with cover the key concepts of self-regulation and grounding as well as provide a background to TRE and how this inspiring, dynamic and natural approach works by meeting the body.
The workshop is suitable for all who would like to learn TRE. If you have tremored before this is an opportunity to deepen into your practice and spend a day on you and immerse yourself in TRE.
There will also be time for questions and discussion.
Lunch break will be for one hour with short breaks in the morning and afternoon. There are plenty of cafes and shop in the area.
