Berlin presents Einmusik on Friday 28th February 2020

2020 sees big changes for the Berlin Team and all of our lovely followers. After 5 years of truly wonderful memories at our home The Green Door Store we move to a fabulous and ground-breaking new venue slap bang in the centre of Brighton called CHALK.

CHALK is a brilliant, multi-purpose, independent venue located in Brighton's coach station opposite the iconic Brighton Pier. The venue has a huge main room, which can change capacity via a rotating bar. An additional bar is located on the mezzanine level. CHALK hosts both regular club nights and live music events. This will be our new home throughout 2020 as well as our other parties across the city and will give everyone more room to dance and through some serious shapes.

Not only that! We have also teamed up with our good friends at Zahara, previously Door 77 two doors down, to create Berlin's first Äfterparty destination, where the stunning decor, sound and those marvellous lights will keep the party going from 04:00-08:00. We listened to all of our amazing followers and party peops and have created something that we feel fits the need and desires of the party Kollektiv - We are very excited and hope you can all join us for many more nights on the dancefloor, where we will be showcasing some incredible artists throughout the year.

Sooo we kick off with our good friend and massive headliner, the amazing EINMUSIK!

Einmusika Recordings, Stil vor Talent, Katermukke, DIYNAMIC MUSIC, Kittball Records, Noir Music Official, Cercle

Always lost between space and time. Always on the run, hard to catch. Sometimes the sounds are raw, sometimes dreamy and light-footed. Who wants to understand the music of Einmusik needs to go deeper. Listen a second time, breathe a third time and throw away all your expectations. Only a few steady components, no easy schemes. House, techno, trance and breakbeats – everything flows into each other and ends up in a unique symbiosis.

You will find melodies. Sometimes they are subtle, sometimes dominating and sometimes they disappear after the break and get lost in a raw and metallic vacuum of claps and basses. For more than 10 years Einmusik's work is led by melancholy and desire, paired with this crazy moments after a gig with thousands of people. A soaked nape, sore feet and a blessed smile – the next idea is already in the bag, the melody of the moment in the ear.

Releases on Noir Music, Diynamic, Katermukke, Voltage Musique and Kittball, added by the productions on his own label Einmusika are the result of these wonderful trips. Samuel Kindermann is always on the move and doesn’t need the bonds of trends which are creeping through the clubs season by season. His live- performance is unique and everything but hand-tame. Whether on a festival like Fusion or in a small club – in the end everybody is closing the eyes, forgets about the here and now and plunge into the cosmos of Einmusik, which seems to be endless.

Einmusik ́s music is not an industry secret, but still an undiscovered star in the growing universe of electronic sounds. No straight line to follow, no seasonal sound - his cosmos is too big to dive through it within an hour. Born in the late 70’s he was influenced by Depeche Mode, the sound of Visage and Kraftwerk. Right after he slowly discovered the world of Drum and Bass and later emotional techno material with the little extra. With “Jittery Heritage“ he started many moons ago to create his own style, full of melodies and open soundscapes. A lot of releases and remixes on well known imprints from all over the world followed and a lot of long nights in the clubs.

With “5 A.M“ he produced later an album between light and darkness to bundle the mood of traveling and touring. The musical output went from earth to the universe, creating heart-breaking moments and uplifting minutes. And the longplayer “I.D.C.“ followed - a statement against doing statements. Einmusik is not the man of words and vocals. He is not the one telling you what is the right sound for the right moment. But you will discover his anthems - they will reach you unexpected.

2019 saw him team up with his good friend Jonas Saalbach for an incredible Cercle Episode on top of a Norwegian Fjord clocking up 3,400,885 views on YouTube and 1,316,695 on Facebook already!

Markus Saarländer
Berlin - Brighton, Decoded Magazine, friskyRadio, Trickstar Radio, Dino Audio

Markus is the founder of Dino Audio and Berlin-Brighton, a Berlin style underground club night that has been making waves for the last three years. With queues down the street and full venues for every party, Berlin has established itself as one Brighton’s most popular Underground music events.

The night has also been forward thinking in terms of the type of parties (in true Berlin style), with a residency at the Green Door Store as well as alternative parties such as beach terrace parties, pop up parties, studio parties, outdoor Christmas market parties and collabs with other venues in the city. In 2020 Berlin will move to a stunning venue in the centre of the city and close to Brighton Seafront called Chalk with official Afterparties being held at Zahara two doors down until 8am.

On the back of that Berlin has enjoyed a successful radio show on Codesouth.FM for the whole of 2016 and moving over to Trickstar Radio in January 2017. Markus is from Germany having moved over to the UK many moons ago and always wanted to bring a slice of his home land to the UK.

Spending his early DJ years in the North West of England playing Trance, House and Tech House in around Manchester, Markus extended his portfolio with gigs elsewhere in the UK and Europe including slots at well known beach bars in Ibiza. Moving to Brighton in 2011, Markus quickly got onto the circuit with residencies for Hed Kandi and has now played at every well-known club and bar venue in the city, as well as boat parties, Brighton Pride and other quirky pop up events. Equally Markus has been featured in multiple magazines and articles such as Decoded Magazine, DJ Mag, Frisky Radio, BN1, XYZ, Native FM and After Dark. Recent years have also seen the collaboration with German and UK record labels in the form of Radio Show features and Label Showcase events involving Mother Recordings, Kittball, Stil vor Talent, Steyoyoke, Beste Modus, Selador and Arms & Legs.

Guest Mixes have included 2 Decoded Magazine Pioneer DJ Radio Shows, a special guest on the Kittball Radio Show on Ibiza Global Radio, as well as BLITZ FM St Petersburg, Alex Preda's 'Layers' Series in Amsterdam, Native FM, After Dark, circle.Ibiza, and Kurt Kjergaard's infamous Beach Podcast Series.

Other recent highlights have included support at the Arch for Groove Armada, Booka Shade and John 00 Fleming's JOOF Editions shows. Berlin and Markus were also the official partner for Waze & Odyssey's Street Tracks series in Brighton in 2018. Not only that Markus has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the business such as Timo Maas, Tiefschwarz, Einmusik, John Digweed, Rebekah, Juliet Fox, Dave Seaman, Alex Niggemann, Kellerkind, Thomas Schumacher, Nhan Solo, Superlover, Just Her, Timo Garcia, Juliet Sikora, Emanuel Satie, Cinthie, Daniel Steinberg, Jeremy Underground, Jonas Saalbach, Teenage Mutants, Tigerskin, BLANCAh most of whom have become personal friends.

In May 2019, after returning from a LIVE Stream during the International Music Summit in Ibiza on the beach, in collaboration with Decoded Magazine and circle. Ibiza and good friend Luke Brancaccio, Markus was invited by Danny Rampling to warm up at his infamous 'Shoom' night at the Arch in Brighton before Leftfield and himself on the lineup. A set which received big praise from Danny.

In June 2018 Markus also featured as the Artist of the Week for global underground music station Frisky Radio, which led to Markus starting is own Radio show 'Rainbow Frequencies' airing on 12 November 2018 on the NYC based station, which is also the home of big hitters such as Sasha, Dave Seaman, Steve Lawler, Nick Warren and many more. Markus hosts the show every second Monday at 4pm EST, 9pm UK and 10pm CET. The show also reached no.2 in the global Frisky charts in February 2019. Monica Music
Berlin - Brighton, Codesouth.FM

Two strangers enter a toilet at a Pan Pot gig, they emerge as friends, and two years later are ready to start showing the city of Brighton and the rest of the world their unique style of dance floor groovers.

Luke and Owen, aka Monica, have been members of the dance floor generation since their late teens. With a musical choice that is sometimes considered to sit just outside what the majority of people in Brighton play, and a love for the Berlin sound, it wasn't long before they were offered their first taste of limelight, when the head honcho of Nightshift Records, Sami Kubu, offered them a slot on her bi-monthly podcast. The podcast was to be released as a Halloween special in 2016. The mix was an emotional and moody eclectic mix of music both Luke and Owen love with groove from start to finish. It was well received by both listeners and Nightshift records themselves and building on their success secured a weekly radio show on Codesouth FM every Monday 20:00-22:00.

Monica were also featured in Decoded Magazine as produced a sublime Guest Mix receiving huge praise from the publisher and peers alike.

Monica have been involved in numerous Berlin-Brighton events to date supporting the likes of Timo Maas, Einmusik, Tiefschwarz, BLANCAh, Daniel Steinberg, John Digweed, Rebekah, Emanuel Satie and many more. The duo also completed a Berlin Mixtapes Guest mix for us too. Listen to it here:

2019 also saw the two cofound their very own club night called 'Foucault' showcasing a range of deep, electronic and melodic events calling in on Berlin-Brighton friends Markus Saarländer and Faide on support duties.
