Black Octopus Presents Fabi Paras on Friday 25th September 2020
Please note, this event has been cancelled.
An inspired DJ, Fabi started his career in the eighties when Nicky Holloway invited him to play in the Project Bar in San Antonio, Ibiza. After returning to London, he became resident DJ in Trip, and played in various top clubs and raves around the world including Spectrum, Drum Club and Boys Own.
In 1990 he set up Junk Rock Records and worked with Terry Farley on various projects including Primal Scream and Outrage.
The nineties also saw him set up Soundclash Republic and the release of his first album, ‘Shiva Shanti’. The following year the Soundclash Republic concert at the Ministry of Sound was completely sold out!
Fabi became a regular name in Amsterdam promoting the Progressive House sound that was emerging in the UK during that time. In many people’s opinions, Fabi was one of the original pioneers of that UK house scene who produced some genre defining moments.
Fabi then continued with his own projects and was off the scene for a little while. He made a hugely successful comeback at Full Circle’s 30th anniversary in 2019 where it was clear to all that his genius had not faded. His fans new and old are excited to see him back where he belongs – partying with the like of Black Octopus and the best crowd of revelers you can wish for in B-town!
Keeping things fresh and as literally underground as we can, we’ve located this party in a very central Brighton location - the basement of Al Duomo’s.
All support on the night comes from your very own eight limbed dark duo, Black Octopus. Still fresh from playing the RFKT parties @ The Arch (supporting their KiNK and Booka Shade nights respectively), and of course all the various disco partying at amazing venues, The Garden Café and Block Bar, their appeal has been increasing steadily across the city since they formed in late 2018.
Music Genres: Acid House, House, Prog House, Tech House, Techno
