Sarpa Salpa Blackpool on Friday 17th September 2021

Starkly juxtaposed with their quiet midland’s hometown of Northampton; Sarpa Salpa craft upbeat alt-pop bangers designed with the indie dancefloor in mind.

Following the release of 'Casanova' in 2019 the band have hit huge milestones ever since. BBC 6Music legend Steve Lamacq gave them their first national Radio play on his show and has continued to express his support since. 'Casanova' was later crowned BBC Radio 1 Introducing Track of the Week. This release was accompanied by a sold-out tour playing venues around the country.

The band went into the studio in to produce the 'Say Something' EP released in January 2020. The debut EP was met with positive feedback and further radio support, particularly from
Radio 1’s Jack Saunders who made 'Say Something' his Next Wave track. The band secured a slot on the BBC Introducing Stage at The Great Escape
Festival 2020 and a slot at Jack Saunders revered Hopscotch gig in March. Unfortunately, both shows were cancelled due to COVID-19.

Since the start of the Pandemic, Sarpa Salpa began work on their sophomore EP ‘A Feeling You Can’t Replace’.

The first two tracks recorded in March 2020 came in the form of summer anthem 'Forwards Backwards' and indie banger ‘Stick to What You Know’. Both tracks received continued radio support from BBC Introducing, Radio X, BBC 6 Music with BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders
crowing ‘Forwards Backwards’ his Tune of the Week and playing the band on his show for 12 weeks straight.

At this time the band also hit 750,000 streams across platforms including
500,000 on Spotify alone.
