It was a night of firsts for me.
It was my first time visiting The Big Blues Bar in Darwen and the atmosphere was brilliant.
A night intimate place and they had Hobgoblin on tap so that's an extra star from me!
As for Triple J they knocked the ball out the park!
They were fantastic. The guitarist Jamie was brilliant, the bassist Matt was just as good and the drummer ex Status Quo member Jeff Rich was just as much a powerhouse as he were with Quo 20 years ago.
If you love your blues and rock you won't want to miss this band, get out and see them ASAP!

A very talented group of musicians who were clearly having a great time entertaining us. They're also really nice guys too having spent some time chatting to the crowd during the interval & after the show. I hope to see them again in the future.

Very professional band who are obviously fans of the genre they play. The venue is easy access with pleasant, helpful staff. It’s a ver well laid out room with quiet areas for conversation away from the stage area and its a clean well cared for building even down to the care taken in the loos. The number of tickets available meant that the atmosphere was busy but not overcrowded and the bar was stocked with a good variety of options. Food was available and although I didn’t personally try it , I only saw empty plates going back.... A very enjoyable experience overall.
