The Desert on Wednesday 31st October 2018
Gina Leonard signed with Funnel in 2016 as a solo artist who had already established a reputation for writing beautiful, haunting and intelligent songs with lyrics to die for. Amongst her increasing catalogue of great tracks were a couple of gems which were co produced by Tom Fryer. Tom, himself a successful writer and musician playing with Three London Planes, was keen to work more with Gina and so the Desert was borne.
The traditional folk based material has been magically interpreted and reinvented within a new soundscape by Tom giving Gina the perfect platform to present her stunning songs and captivating vocals. Having released debut EP ‘Playing Dead’ in 2017, they are in the process of crafting their first LP.
This is the debut gig for the much hyped and anticipated Pluviam. Pluviam is the combination of James Riley’s experimental songwriting style alongside Mike Tabone’s high energy drumming and his expertise in production.
After years of bouncing around different genres, Lydia Aileen has finally decided what sound she’s sticking with.
Inspired by cheesy 1970’s hits and modern day Neo Soul, Lydia Aileen makes catchy Indie pop songs suitable for any music lover.
One half of popular Birmingham acoustic duo 'Miss World', Dani plays her own mix of well crafted originals and classic bangers.
