Tarantism 008 - DJ Hidden // Skitzaph0nic // Dwarde b2b Gand on Friday 16th November 2018

DJ Hidden - 90 min set
(Hidden Tracks/PRSPCT)

Noël Wessels, aka DJ Hidden, is a Dutch musician, DJ and art designer known for his unique take on drum & bass, hardcore & electronic music. He is a man of many alias's & creates everything from ambient/idm under Semiomime to hardcore & crossbreed as part of DJ/production duo The Outside Agency. In this extremely rare appearance in Birmingham he is going to be bringing his full arsenal of drum & bass, crossbreed & hardcore in a no holds barred 90 minute set in our intimate 150 capacity venue. This is seriously going to be one for the books & we are so excited & honored to have him playing through a 90 minute journey for Tarantism.

(Fractal/Jungle Syndicate)

Playing at one of the very first Tarantism nights we are delighted to bring back Skitzaph0nic to create some beautiful madness for us again. A busy year has seen him playing a legendary show at the Bangface weekender, having his tunes played out at Dominator & releasing his first CD (I Am Become) on Fractal while still playing a wealth of sets all over the place. This guy is seriously rising fast & we cant wait for him to kill it again in Brum.

Dwarde b2b Gand

Dwarde returns for his third outing at Tarantism & this time bringing long time partner in crime Gand along for a b2b. These guys have been playing together for years at nights, festivals & free parties all over the UK & Europe. Both of them have truly exceptional record collections so when they get together you know its going to be nothing but continuous great happy hardcore & jungle selections till someone tells them to stop.

Basshoven also returns for his third outing at Tarantism & reet good it will be too. Continuing to make a name for himself playing shows around the uk, you can expect expertly selected jungle & dnb from classic 90s productions to full on amen rinse outs & gabba kicks. Now celebrating being a full on botanist with his lovely wife, we can't wait for him to rinse out the marital vibes.

Chef Bozwan

For years Chef Bozwan has been smashing up the South West scene with the crunchiest kick drums that can be found & now she's bringing this arsenal to Tarantism for her debut in Birmingham. Playing at Balter, Boomtown, producing tracks for Monkey Business sound system & now playing a weekly live streamed internet show for Boombastic she aint one to rest on her laurels. Expect breakcore, jungle, hardcore & anything that is fast & nasty.

Vashthestampede b2b Selström - Hardware vs vinyl set
(Tarantism/Modu Heart)

Our resident techno badboy Vashthestampede squares up for a very special b2b with modular techno physician Selström. Vash will be bringing his usual bag of ard as nails techno & will be playing b2b against Selström's quality modular set up, literally a case of hardware vs vinyl. This project is in the works & being tested out at the moment. We really can't wait to see how it pans out.

Tanooki Suit (Tarantism / Chapel of Chaos)

Likes to play loud fast distorted noises to anyone that will listen. Even to people who don't. GABBA.

Music Genres:

Drum n Bass, Hardcore/Hardstyle, Jungle, Techno
