Purcell and Couperin at Kingswood on Saturday 2nd June 2018

The Charpentier Ensemble perform music by François Couperin (marking the 350th anniversary of his birth) and the great English composer Henry Purcell. Comprising some of the rising stars of the UK's early music scene, the Charpentier Ensemble was founded in 2015 to explore vocal music of the Baroque Era. A number of the performers also sing with other acclaimed groups such as the Monteverdi Choir, Ex Cathedral, The Taverner Consort and Armonico Consort.
