Great gig, and great to see them at a local venue. I wanted everything on the merchandise table.
What a wonderful old pub! I prefer to see my favourite bands in such sized venues. Especially when their set of songs was as good as I`ve ever heard.
A great evening & will get on Hare & Hounds mailing list.
Lots of tec problems from sound deck for the first 40mins of show.
Great band. Mic tech hitch for the first 4 songs which was a shame but fixed. Nice small venue, can be problematic for parking.
The problem was with the band. I am a massive fan. I first saw them 43 years ago and I know they are getting on a bit.
They played fro 9.05 till 10.25. Of that one hour 20 minutes , 5-10 minutes was spent fixing the singers microphone. this did not occur until 7 songs in. so the first part of the concert contained inaudible lyrics.
I still remain a massive fan but will consider whether I will see them again live.
Great gig, slightly dogged by technical issues and spoilt by the fact that I fainted in the heat near the end! Wire are still a great band after all these years. Not sure about Colin Newman's embryonic ponytail though.
Great band and venue too and not very costly too...a highly recommend that you check Wire live and the Hare And Hounds pub too.A very enjoyable evenjng
Slight sound issues were disappointing, vocals not always audible, but a packed & appreciative audience were treated to a fine set from pioneers Wire.
Great venue and great band
