Review of This Is Tmrw Presents Shellac
Brilliant Shellac gig. Staff were friendly and efficient, bar prices low, sound system great, a really interesting support act in Iona Fortune. Shellac delivered industriously as always whilst not taking themselves too seriously, bigging up Birmingham (bless you) and ensuring a great experience for all; a brilliant night out, thanks!

Review of This Is Tmrw Presents Shellac
The asylum/madness schtick at the venue is stigmatising and offensive. If you haven't been, this includes barstaff in white coats, straitjackets on the walls and grotesque 'brain surgeon' caricature art. Having spent the day before working with traumatised survivors of the actual mental health system, this felt particularly shocking. As the venue for a show by punk band with progressive politics, this struck a really duff note. I hope that promoters, bands and gig-goers will prompt the venue to rethink this theme - if anyone is under the illusion that this is comicbook shorthand for 'edgy', then maybe read some actual comicbooks. They're 30 years ahead of this crap. For a more detailed argument please see: https://medium.com/@MarkOneinFour/tropes-vs-people -with-mental-health-difficulties-b9c8a4d33b54

Review of This Is Tmrw Presents Shellac
Shellac are always nothing short of viscerally entertaining live and the question and answer sessions between songs are always funny. immeasurably talented musicians doing what they love. the support wasn't really my cup of tea but it was mercifully short.
good venue with decent sound and great atmosphere

Review of BREAK STUFF - A Night of Nu-Metal Nostalgia
Great old sch tunes , if you were a fan of 90's metal scene this is the club night for you!
Floor fillers and you wont stop dancing.
Hair banging music ranging from blasts from the pasts such as Taproot, 36CF, (which was refreshing as you don't get to hear Taproot or 36CF anymore) Korn, Limp Bizkit, Coal chamber, Deftones. Which was Even thrown in with bit of Lamb of god, Pantera and Rob Zombie.
Great night out with mates if you were a nu metal kid like me? Ok it's no XLs in Birmingham but it's the best music night out around now.
The only thing I'd say it's Just a shame not more often and regular? Especially round paydays?
One downer is couldn't see how you could request a song? but with hit after hit, you knew every song and night was enjoyable regardless.
Blast from an amazing music past!

Review of Break Stuff - A Night of Nu-Metal Nostalgia
This was my first time attending break stuff and im glad I did. Prices for entry where reasonable and prices inside the venue where cheaper than I expected, the atmosphere was fantastic and every song played had the crowd going. Every one was friendly including the all staff. I would definitely attend this event again and bring a lot more friends along
