The Palm House 1st Birthday: Ellen Allien on Friday 16th August 2019
To celebrate 1 year of The Palm House and the great parties we have hosted along the way, we bring techno queen Ellen Allien.
A widely respected DJ and producer, Ellen Allien makes experimental techno filled with style and sensuality, in addition to running the celebrated BPitch Control label. Although highly active as a DJ and producer of minimal acid techno tracks since the early '90s, she made her breakthrough with full-lengths such as 2003's Berlinette and 2005's Thrills which blended glitchy production tricks with futuristic electro pop. While albums such as 2008's Sool and 2013's Lism contained some of Allien's most abstract work, 2017's Nost brought back the club-focused energy of her singles.
As a result of her unique appeal, she holds residencies at the world-renowned Circoloco at DC10 (Ibiza) and Nitsa (Barcelona) with regular bookings across the planet at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs: Fabric (London), Shelter (Amsterdam), The Block (Tel Aviv) and Mondo (Madrid) to name just a few.
Suporting Ellen, are some of Belfast's most established DJ's. Dallas has been causing a stir with the highly regarded DSNT brand for many years. Vertigo while throwing their own parties, are known for their high energy performances across many different venues in the city. Kessler holds down a weekly residency in the city with Dsqo, while also receiving acclaim for his productions.
