The Rising

The Rising are a Country Rock band from Northern Ireland. They can best be described as blending fresh-faced Pop/Rock with Modern Country Stylings fresh from Nashville.

The band have just released their 2nd album “Moving On” via Renegade Maverick Records/Universal on Vinyl/CD/Digital worldwide. The album recieved great critical acclaim including positive reviews and features with the likes of Guitarist Magazine, Country Music Magazine, Hotpress Magazine, Maverick, No Depression, The Arts Desk, Yorkshire Times and many more.

First single from the album “Rebound” achieved success when the accompanying music video was given a world premiere by US based Country Music Bible ‘The Boot’. BBC Introducing also named it song of the week on the week of its release. Second, single “Even The Stars Fall For You” was adopted by LGBTQ rights organisations and the music video highlights the issue of equal rights to same-sex marriage within the band’s home country of Northern Ireland.

Since the beginning the band’s music has enjoyed heavy radio play and play listing globally, including USA, UK, Europe, Ireland and beyond. Including good support on UK National radio including extensive radio play on the likes of BBC Radio 2, BBC London etc including support and sessions with the likes of Graham Norton, Gaby Roslin and Alex Lester.

The band have also toured extensively since its formation. From headline tours, festivals through to touring with Ward Thomas, The Shires and Jess & The Bandits. The band have also been privileged to perform at the UK's leading Country Festival, Country 2 Country Festival at London’s O2 on two consecutive years. Most recently the band undertook the ‘Moving On’ UK and Ireland tour which was seen the band perform at key cities across the UK and Ireland including, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol, Belfast and Dublin.

“Moving On is Country Pop/Rock with Chantelle McAteer’s vocals supported by Logan’s jangly rhythm and strong lead guitar. Hook-laden songs with singalong choruses” - 8/10 - Guitarist Magazine

“Amazing” - Gaby Roslin (BBC Radio London)

“When it comes to country-tinged pop-rock songs, there are very few who do it with as much style as Belfast’s The Rising right now. The kind of song which could dent the charts and hearts of the states given the right breaks, fans of the likes of Lady Antebellum and early Taylor Swift will lap this up” - Hotpress Magazine

Niamh McGlinchey

Niamh’s music is an eclectic mix of folk, country and americana styles, all sprinkled with her unique “velvet voice”. In her short career she has toured with renowned artists including Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Daniel O'Donnell and Bagatelle.
