Algorhythm 003 | Rex The Dog (Live) + Carlton Doom on Friday 16th November 2018

After the recent successes of our recent sold out party with KETTAMA and our Rave For Life with Chris Nez , we have been working on bringing you the next instalment to our Algorhythm series. For our third party, we are stoked to have Brighton Born Jake Williams aka ‘Rex The Dog’ over to have him barking at you with a LIVE MODULAR SET on Friday 16th November at the Queens Student union.

Rex makes and performs his own music with analogue electronics and a self-built Modular Synthesizer. He carries this precious machinery around the world, bringing his distinct sound to packed out dance floors across the world. Everywhere from Berghain Panorama Bar, to an intimate pop up gig in a Barcelona record store. Rex has released on Kompakt Records since his first EP ‘Prototype’ in 2004, as well as Kitsuné and Southern Fried. It’s safe to say that Rex The Dog is at the forefront of live electronic performance and his distinctive sound will be a hit with the Belfast crowd.

On the warm up duties, we have the very talented Belfast local Chris Hanna playing under his new Alias Carlton Doom, releasing his first EP ‘Necrodancer’ on Or:La and Breakwave’s Deep Sea Frequency with banging electro and techno tracks. He has also released ‘Dungeon Funk’ on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams new label Neutralizer, he is the first to release an EP on the label and what a hard one to follow, with rich baselines and unique grooves and synths; we are excited to hear what he’s got in store for us.

Algorhythm residents will be holding down the fort beforehand having warmed up for KETTAMA, Chris Nez, BRIEN and featured alongside Bootz n Katz. They have also been booked for regular packed out parties across Belfast in nightlife hotspots such as Art Department and The Palm House, while also appearing on Belfast Underground Radio for a guest mix.

Music Genres:

Electro, Techno
