Belfast Fringe: No More Gigs? Conversations about the Live Scene on Wednesday 23rd May 2018
With live music venues closing and the cost of touring and hosting live music increasing, what is the future for the live gig and what can be done to ensure a healthy landscape for promoter, venue and musician?
A panel discussion hosted by Stephen McCauley (BBC Radio Ulster / Foyle) Joe Dougan (Promoter) Sybil Bell (Founder Independent Venue Week and Co-Founder CAN YOU CIC IT (CIC)) James Loveday (Promoter Distortion Project) Hannah Peel (Artist / Composer), at The Oh Yeah Music Centre, 15-21 Gordon Street, Belfast. Anyone aged between 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 and over. Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be requested in the form of a passport or photo card driving licence upon entry.
Please note, for free tickets admission on the day of the event is on a first-come-first-served basis. As not everyone who registers for tickets uses them and to make sure we have a full house, we send out more tickets than there are places.
