Output Belfast Presents: Travis Is A Tourist & Rebekah Fitch on Wednesday 23rd May 2018

Belfast City Council’s Output Belfast initiative is designed to help energise those working in film, television, music, digital content and immersive technology and showcase the cream of new musical and interactive artists and companies that make up the local creative digital sector.

Travis is a Tourist is the nom de plume for a barely 20 something from Northern Ireland called Travis Gilbert. The tourist spirit has already seen him take trips to Nashville to write (twice), to Austin to perform (playing with SxSW artists, patio and porch shows), and closer to home; gigs at Liverpool Sound City, as well as in bars, clubs and living rooms of friends and fellow restless spirits, across the UK and Ireland.
Where he travels next is anyone's guess, but the musical journey is going to be worth coming along with.

Combining the artistry of Florence + the Machine, the thought-provoking lyric writing of Stevie Nicks, and the wonder and curiosity of Bjork, Rebekah Fitch is a new artist that will spark intrigue. The power of music is in its ability to carry a message, and this is exactly what Rebekah does. In a rapidly transforming world, she challenges listeners to stop and think for themselves, finding where they stand before being swept away in the chaos. You don’t have to ditch the instantly-memorable pop melodies to find something with more substance.

Music Genres:

Alternative, Electronic, Folk, Pop
