rmt music presents | syd arthur + port erin + wasuremono on Saturday 11th November 2017

RMT Music Productions present SYD ARTHUR. Plus supports : PORT ERIN & WASUREMONO.

With the release of new album Apricity (Harvest/Communion) 2017 sees Syd Arthur lauded as ahead-of-the-curve trailblazers, pop-psych adventurers who count as peers Tame Impala, Temples and Toy.

They have built an enviable reputation as a band apart. Formed out of the forest party rave scene in their home county of Kent, and with a hard-won DIY self-sufficiency, they developed a sound and approach miles beyond their foursquare indie peers. Here was swirling rock with psychedelic textures, guitar-based trance with a funk groove. A band adaptive enough, bold enough, to tour with White Denim and The Strokes.

Garnering near-cult status as purveyors of original genre-bending music, Port Erin are a band of three.

Their musicality is magnetic with tightly wound dives and grooves. Cerys and Jacob’s rhythm section is a solid unit, Reuben drifts in-at times controlled and soulful but with moments of cornered fretting. A milieu of sonic textures are at play with echoes of jazz, coupled with mechanical Krautrock undertones. They are as punk as they are prog and as political as they are personal.

Bath album launch show for new album Ocean Grey.

Wasuremono - 忘れ物. An Indie, Krautrock, Dream-pop band from Bradford-on-Avon, South West England.

Formed in 2013 by lead singer William Southward through his love of producing and recording cinematic soundscapes. The band have recently released their explosive EP/Album Kaboom and been championed by Steve Lamacq and Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music. Featured on both Laverne’s and Lamacq’s recommends playlist and chosen as Lamacq’s “Lamacq Livener” (winner stays on) for 2 weeks.
