Night of the Living Dub Ft. Channel One Sound & Laid Blak on Thursday 1st November 2018
This Halloween Bath Carnival presents: Night of the Living Dub.
Featuring: Channel One Sound System | Laid Blak (full live band) | Gorilla Tactics | Biggles' Sound | The Maitree Express | Bath City Bass
The ‘Bath Carnival Presents’ series celebrates music and cultures from around the world. The first instalment is a Halloween special and Dub Reggae extravaganza!
A huge lineup of Dub Reggae DJs and live bands headed up by Channel One, one of the world’s greatest and best known Roots Rock Reggae/Dub sound systems.
Legendary selector Mikey Dread and MC Ras Kayleb have celebrated 30 consecutive years of Channel One Soundystem at Notting Hill Carnival, making them a worthy headliner.
Main support comes from urban heavyweights Laid Blak who released their second full album earlier this year featuring up-tempo blasters like ‘It’s A Pity’, ‘Hold On’ and ‘Serious’.
The bands incredible live performances has earned them support slots for the likes of The Wailers, Lee Scratch Perry, Desmond Decker and even Ed Sheeran.
Our pick of the best local acts include Gorillia Tactics, Biggles Sound, The Maitree Express and co-curators of the lineup, Bath City Bass.
In true Halloween spirit there’ll be immersive décor, professional face painting, zombie dancers and performers with fancy dress encouraged.
