Review of Full Metal Haggis
Brilliant day out but tickets way to pricey
Beer was terrible. The only thing drinkable was Carlsberg and that ran out at 7 pm. Event itself was very good. Well run.
Would you recommended: Yes
Very well organised and very enjoyable festival with really friendly people, its just a pity that it wasn't as well attended as it deserved to be. Could it have been advertised better? Was it because it was a niche market with having so many thrash metal bands, could it have been better with more equal amounts of bands playing classic rock (possibly including covers), as well as the thrash metal bands, to capture a wider audience? I personally prefer the more classic types of rock bands, we came up from Perth, and I know more people that would have came up if there was more classic rock bands there, but it is very difficult to know the answer to attract more punters..... Anyhow a big well done and thank you to the organisers for creating this fest (I know and appreciate the incredible amount of hard work that goes into these events) Hopefully it can be repeated annually, but obviously getting the paying public through the gates is paramount, and there is probably no easy answer to get more people there. Obviously a big name headliner would pull the crowds, but at what fee? It's difficult guys 🤔
Great first year for the event, we had a lovely day in the sun listening to awesome bands. atmosphere was very friendly and food was reasonably priced as was drink.
very chilled and friendly festival with great bands at a very reasonable price.
Loved every minute. A great range of rock bands who took my breath away. Beautiful place with some fantastic people all sharing a field for the weekend xxx
Its always tricky starting a new event. If there had been more folks there the atmosphere would have been electric. I do hope more people attend next year.
Great festival, good crowd, hope there’s more people there next year.
Great event idea but needed more info on marketing posters etc... child friendly but would be good to have face painter and a few stalls.... i.e. army surplus, jewellery and something for kids. Sadly, not very well attended especially locally... shuttle bus maybe idea? Some bands were a bit heavy, a niche market.... maybe have rock on the Sunday and the heavier metal on the Saturday so it appeals more to the masses?
Fab venue and good to see a local business putting so much effort in!!
Would suggest getting a local radio station on board for the next one.
Well done to all involved!!
awesome, wicked, great venue, great atmosphere, great café, great camping
Amazing organisation, spectacular venue, incredible bands and the friendliest festival campsite I've ever experienced.
Had an excellent weekend the venue was fantastic the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly the campsite was well equipped and the food was amazing.
We had an absolutely brilliant time in the beautiful surroundings of Deeside Activity Park for the first ever Full Metal Haggis. Everything from the size of the event, security, the staff at Ken's grill and the bar staff were all on top form I cannot fault any of it at all. The event itself felt so well organised and the people we met were some of nicest people we will ever meet. Even the shuttle service on offer was brilliant. We really hope this festival makes a great name for itself as it's great to have something like this pretty much on the doorstep. We will definitely be back in August for the next one. Thanks to everyone involved, you all done a fantastic job
Amazing event, great music, perfect venue and the staff were awesome. I really hope there is another next year!
Had an absolutely brilliant couple of days at Full Metal Haggis, a great selection of bands who gave it their all! Good variety in styles as well, not all death metal all the time, mix of covers and original material kept things interesting and introduced some great new bands. Almost got a tan as well!
Promising start for a new festival
My friends and I had a fantastic time, definitely will be going again next time. Great set up and hopefully will pull an even bigger crowd next time.
great venue, music was superb and staff were flawless and professional throughout. I really hope this grows into something great for the north east of Scotland
