The Causeway Foot Inn Halifax

Built as an 18th century coaching inn, set on the A629 Keighley Roads between Halifax and Denholme, this quirky inn boasts unrivalled picturesque views of un-spoilt Yorkshire moors and Bronte countryside. Within easy reach are the towns of Halifax, with its historic ‘Piece Hall’ market place, which has recently undergone a refurbishment program, and the village of Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters, which is steeped in history.



At the helm of the Causeway Foot Inn are partners Terence Kelly and Christine Kirby, who have run the Inn for some 12 years, They have a vast knowledge and experience of running successful pubs, restaurants and Bed and Breakfasts. They have sympathetically and tastefully presented the establishment; combining the modern, the dog-friendly ‘Ramblers Bar’ traditional bar area and the vintage look restaurant area. All of these are under one roof; catering to all tastes in décor for visiting patrons.



The bar offers a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and an excellent choice of hand pulled ‘real ales’ and ice cold lagers. Also available is a dog friendly, organic dog food menu, with a selection of wholesome treats for your four-legged friends; keeping them entertained whilst you kick back and relax.



Food at The Causeway Foot is varied. Our menu includes pub classics, such as home-battered king-size haddock and chips, burgers, real fish pie. It also features more authentic dishes, such as traditional curries, chicken Palak, Jerk chicken rice and peas. More refined dishes are available, such as sea bass with spring greens and tomato concass and fillet steak dolce latte. All the menus have been created by the recently appointed Head Chef Dean Kay Cotton, who has been classically Italian trained and has a vast knowledge of Asian and ethnic cuisines. Dean joined Terry and Christine in March and has since organised a wide entertainment diary, including tribute acts, Casino nights, gourmet evenings and many more.
