The Pub/Zoo on Grosvenor street sits nicely off oxford road opposite All Saints Park. A mix of a lovely atmosphere, great value food and great drinks prices will set you right off for a lovely day or evening at The Pub. Follow that up with a trip to the Zoo, just around the corner for some megga 90's cheese at Acceptable In The 90's or some comedy on a wednesday at FunBox, Redeemer on saturday or every other friday for Dead Bolt!
The pub's got a Quiz on a sunday with Quizmaster Dave asking the questions, giving out the prizes and umpiring the rock paper scissors. Prizes range from a bowl of sweets all the way up to the jackpot question which has been as much as £400! How much will it be this week? there's only one way to find out.
Mondays sees the massivey established Acceptable In The 90's, coming to a bigger venue to make sure that everyone can enjoy the best in 90's cheese, beats and shape throwin'! Cheep drinks and Spice Girls! Darn Tootin'!! Get down early coz we fill up fast!
Monday ALSO has a Mike's Open Mic Night where Mike offers his skills to us and encourages you to get up and show us what you've got. Come along and play or have a nice sit down with a real ale and take in the mix of regular and new performers.
Select Wednesdays see the return of FunBox, the best independant comedy night in Manchester. Barrels of laughs in a pleasent environment!
Thursdays is Quids in the Pub! Open til 2am with drinks from £1 and DJ's playing your requests all night!
Friday's make way for DEADBOLT, Your favourite rock night for Pop Punk Emo and a hint of metalcore, every other wednesday and special Dj Guests make for an awsome night and some of the cheapest drinks in town. From Gallows to New Found Glory and a lot inbetween.! Round the front The Pub is open Til' 2am as well!
Uprisingis on Saturday in the zoo, bringing the Manchester's favourite rock night to Zoo. With special givaways, DJ's and £1.50 drinks offers, Uprising is not to be missed! Everything from Marylin Manson, Fear Factory, Pearl Jam to Prodigy we offer the Metal Scene somewhere to THROW SOME BODIES AND THROW SOME SHAPES! The pub's also open til' 2am on a Saturday too!
So there ya go, a weeks worth of stuff to come and see and do in the pub/zoo! and that's not including Tuesdays when the bar's open til 2 am serving up the best drinks and food with the best atmosphere!
Guys we open at 11am, we serve food till 10pm and we are showing as much sport as we can! so come down give us a try and you'll not be disappointed!
2 Sky Boxes allow us to show all games, just ask and we can defo put it on, no matter the game, match or bout!
