Life at St Johns fully reflects life in Hackney, with a great desire to make Jesus Christ known. People come from all over the world and make St Johns their place of belonging. Our Mission Action Plan, which we have called the St John-at- Hackney Project is being realised and, following lots of discussions, is now becoming a reality.

Our building is phenomenal. Built to seat 2,200 people, this building can now be used for all sorts of acts of worship, but also great community events. These spaces have been used recently for recordings, for Job fairs, as a health and medical centre and as a place to discern and discover our Hackney heritage together. The very soul of Hackney emerges from these hallowed walls and this churchyard, which in itself is the largest green space in Hackney Central.
