The first steak and gin restaurant to open in Manchester, Alston Bar & Beef serves premium 35-day dry-aged steaks in a stylish contemporary setting based in the basement of the Corn Exchange. The meat is sourced from the family-run Gilmour Butchers, found in the Tweed Valley on the Scottish borders. Alston Bar & Beef produce their own small batch cold compound gins, infused with seasonal botanicals, within the venue. The prohibition-style bar is known as 1837, the same year in which the Corn Exchange was built. The 160-cover restaurant includes a private dining room.
