Review of Jamie's Italian - Edinburgh
Took my daughter and Mum here for a birthday treat and were not dissapointed. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were delightful. The food even more so. We had small portions of pasta so that we could have 3 courses and try everything. Desserts were heavenly. The lemon meringue pie and the berry pavlova were even better than you could make yourself which i find is a rareity. Also had ****tails including the non alcoholic ones which were delicious.
Had a fab time at Jamie,s, only downside was there was a big rugby game on and everywhere was too busy and had to wait nearly two hours for our pre booked table, staff where lovely, food great, just think we deserve a wee discount
for next visit as everyone got really tired waiting.

Five of us had dinner on a Wednesday evening. We were all there early for a 7.15pm booking. We had been told that we only had the table for 2 hours. We ordered promptly including a bottle of house white and a bottle of house red. There was no house white! We re-ordered another white. The red was served promptly. 40 mins later we are still waiting on the white. Our waiter did not explain the starters clearly, causing confusion and re-ordering by one of us. He came back twice to check what we had ordered for mains. At 8.45pm we still had not been served our main courses and had to speak to the Manager about poor service, particularly as four of our party had travelled from Fife by train and had trains to catch home and work the next day. It is the first time in my life that I have complained in a restaurant and it left a sour taste in my mouth, particularly as I had chosen the restaurant and made the booking. We had all so much looked forward to dining in the restaurant because of the name and kudos of the restaurant. The food when served was delicious. The cost of the wine was knocked off the bill but this was not the reason that I felt I had to speak to the Manager. We just did not want other customers to have the same bad experience as ourselves.

Melt in the mouth salmon and the best lemon merangue pie in the world. But be careful of the slippery floor.

Love Greetings from Switzerland, Bülach!
Only thing I was disappointed in was the main meal, which was Truffle Risotto and was disappointingly mediocre. The 'beautiful bruschetta' was just that - very tasty. This was meant for two but is more suited to one. Definitely not man size portions of any course. Great coffee, great service.

This was means for two but I could have eaten it all to myself and I am by no manner of means a big eater. Definitely not mansize portions of any course. Great coffee, great service.
