It’s no surprise that the reaction to Sankeys' return has been massively welcomed by party-goers high and low as it heads back to the city centre to add to Manchester's already buzzing nightlife.

Ahead of their highly anticipated opening nights on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st January 2026, Sankeys has released a teaser of where you'll be dancing to some of the best DJs over the next couple of months.

With the iconic Sankeys logo front and centre, the intimate 500-capacity venue has been designed to capture the raw underground energy that made Sankeys one of the most iconic club brands in the world.

Also, with the return comes Sankeys Saturdays starting Saturday 7th Febuary which will see the return of legendary night Tribal Sessions on a monthly residency. In the new club, phones will be banned, and there will be no VIP area. The club has promised to keep its "LED matrix grid installation." It will also feature a chill-out room.

Sankeys originally opened in Ancoats, Manchester, in 1994, and was once widely known as one of the best clubs in the world.

The club, at the time known as Sankeys Soap, briefly closed in 2006 before reopening as just Sankeys.

Sankeys opened a club in Ibiza in 2011, before it was "forced" to close its Manchester club in 2017 when the building was sold to property developers.

In their early careers, artists such as Daft Punk, Jamie Jones, The Chemical Brothers, Solomun, and David Guetta performed there.
