Sheesham & Lotus & Son - on tour from Canada and have been taking the country by storm.

Last weekend, they were widely regarded as one of the outstanding acts at this year's massive Tonder Festival in Denmark.

Since the self-styled New Kings of Old-Time, Sheesham & Lotus & Son, landed on these shores following their triumphant appearance at Denmark?s huge Tonder Festival which was this year attended by 25,000 people, they?ve been taking the country by storm.

Renowned as one of the hottest and most entertaining old-time bands on the circuit, delivering visual delights as much as a virtual musical kick up the pants, it seems that everyone is developing a S&L&S habit!

The band was so highly-regarded in Denmark that they won an immediate invitation to return in 2015 by popular demand.

Gigs they have so far played in Oswestry, Spalding and Selby have all been sold-out events and word on the grapevine (Facebook and Twitter) confirms what the media were saying ahead of their visit?that they are not to be missed!

Preparing us for what was in store, the UK?s fRoots magazine called them ?wondrous old-time stylists ? a modern-day Mississippi Sheiks? and said they had been the stand-out highlight of the Folk Alliance International event in Toronto. Maverick magazine said simply: ?Hugely entertaining ? they stole the show!?

AmericanaUK said they were ?riotous fun? and legendary BBC presenter Bob Harris told listeners: ?This is lovely sepia-tinted music and I absolutely love it.?

?Tremendous ? incredibly refreshing!? said AmericanRootsUK while Acoustic magazine described them as ?riotous ? epic!?

There?s a brand new album, High Stepping Music that is set to win them even more fans.

As Cerys Mathews told listeners to her BBC Radio 6 show: ?Catch them if you can!?
