Mercury Prize nominees Young Knives are the latest act to be announced for Ramsbottom Festival.
The experimental, tweed-loving trio came together in the Midlands a decade ago, before settling in Oxford where they now create minimalist, post punk sounds rich in ideas, intrugues and just the right amount of eccentricity.
Having released third studio album Ornaments from the Silver Arcade in April, the Mercury nominated threesome are riding high on success, with the album being acclaimed by everyone from Q to The Sun, and Artrocker making it their Album of the Month.
With a back catalogue of hits including "Weekends and Bleak Days (Hot Summer)" and "She's Attracted To", a critically acclaimed stock of new material and a reputation for a frenetic, high energy live performance style, Young Knives are set to be one of the highlights of Ramsbottom Festival.
Young Knives join an eclectic roster of acts at Ramsbottom, with the family friendly boutique festival already proudly boasting the likes of Cherry Ghost, Badly Drawn Boy, The Animals, The Waterboys, Kid British and The Travelling Band.
More acts will be announced over the coming weeks - watch this space for details.
Three day weekend tickets for Ramsbottom Festival cost just £70, and are available through Skiddle below.
