UK's largest wellbeing resort to open in Manchester at end of 2028

It will contain lagoons, gardens, spa and fitness zones, swimming and thermal bathing areas, and more.

Construction for the UK's largest wellbeing resort, Manchester’s Therme, has begun.

The huge spa will consist of fifteen waterslides, swimming and thermal bathing areas, spa and fitness zones, sustainable gardens, immersive digital art, and restaurants and cafes.

The building will remain at 33 degrees Celsius year-round, and will feature warm water lagoons, botanical gardens, and palm trees.

Therme Manchester was initially said to be a £250 million project that would be completed in 2025. It is now £450 million and is scheduled for completion at the end of 2028.

Therme Manchester is planning to have a “significantly lower” carbon footprint than other spa experiences through the use of locally-sourced materials and innovative construction methods.
