This summer sees Together embark on its fifth season at Ibiza clubbing stronghold Amnesia - the sixteen dates across the summer will star a succession of heavyweights in the house, bass and techno fields.

Whetting our appetite for the months ahead, Together hits Ministry of Sound on June 6th, teaming up with South West Four and Amnesia to bring a formidable Ibiza line up to the superclub.

Alongside Disciples, GotSome, and Chris Lorenzo is newcomer Bilion. With a new EP alongside Todd Edwards and Nu:Tone, and a much loved weekly Rinse FM radio show, we thought it about time we caught up with him to find out more.

Hi Bilion! Where are you at this moment in time and what are you doing?

Sitting in my studio, just finished up a session.

You've made some big moves in past 18 months, how are you feeling at the moment? Any extra special highlights that stick in your mind?

Thanks. I'm feeling really good. A real highlight from the past 18 months was touring in America, it was an amazing feeling to go places I have always wanted to visit to do what I love, that really is a dream come true.

You now have weekly radio show at Rinse FM (listen to the last one above), how did this come about? What sort of direction are you looking to take the show?

I met Sarah Lockhart who runs Rinse with Geenius through a mutual friend about two years ago and started releasing music on the Rinse label, having a show was a natural progression. I have really loved doing the show, especially having guests on and doing special features. I want to keep making the show more interesting and eclectic, getting more guests people wouldn't expect.

Who are your musical influences?

Off the top of my head, I'd say Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Daft Punk, Baby Face, Goldie, Steely Dan, Bob James, Gregory Isaacs, John Holt, Judas Priest, Stargate, The Neptunes, Burial, Mood II Swing, MK, Todd Edwards, Nu:Tone, Jamiroquai, Massive Attack, Basement Jaxx, Vangelis, Ann Peebles, Labi Siffre.

You've worked with and continue to work with a whole host of electronic acts, which one has been your favourite and what’s your dream collaboration?

Variety is the spice of life. I am always collaborating with different people for different reasons and I consider them all friends so to say one is my favourite would be weird.

6th June sees you play at Ministry of Sound for Together Ibiza Launch party – have you ever played at Ministry? What are you looking forward to most at this event?

I can't wait! Yes I played the Rinse 20th birthday party last year. I'm looking forward to testing out some new music I have been working on. I know most of the other artists playing so it will be fun to hang out also.

Finally, as an artist, where would you like to see yourself in two years time?

I prefer to just concentrate on what I'm doing right now to be honest, sorry if that's an annoying answer!

Can you let us in on any records you're feeling at the moment?

Yeah I've been really into Bicep's 'Celeste' (above), it shows off quite a different sound from them. I'm loving the whole EP but this track really caught my ear, I love the deep, balearic feel.

Joe Goddard's remix of Lxury's 'Square 1' feat Deptford Goth is another. The EP itself is very creative, and this remix manages to retain the class of the original while making it perfect for club play.

And it'd only be right to include something from myself - 'Nothing'. I was really pleased with this track from my latest EP. It went through a lot of changes before becoming what it is now. The vocalist is called Lifford who some people might remember from Artful Dodger's 'Please Don't Turn Me On'.
