Funkademia returns with its legendary New Year's Eve party - this time with Gareth Brooks. Les Croasdaile and Dance Lady Dance!

2011 has been another eventful year for Manchester's longest running weekly clubnight, Funkademia.
Now firmly established at their Mint Lounge home in the heart of the Northern Quarter, the much loved night recently celebrated a whopping 16 years under a groove - and things are showing no sign of slowing down as they approach their 16th funkin' New Year's Eve party.
Keeping you dancing until 2012 in the main rooms will be crowd favourites Gareth Brooks and Les Croasdaile playing all the big Funkademia tunes from the last 16 years, while it's a Dance Lady Dance takeover in the babyfunk room with pop and dance classics all night long.
To give people a fuller night out and enough time to get warmed up before Big Ben does his thing, doors will be opening at 10pm, an hour earlier than usual. The party will go on until at least 4am.
