Rumours have surfaces that one of the biggest British rock and roll bands of all time, The Rolling Stones are planning a massive UK show next summer at Knebworth, the site of monster performances from Oasis, Pink Floyd, Robbie Williams and more.

Powerhouse event group AEG are said to be planning an enormous "multi day extravaganza" for summer 2018, at a location that last held a major event back in 2014, when gigantic rock festival Sonisphere welcomed sets from the likes of Iron Maiden, The Prodigy and Metallica.

It would mean a homecoming show for the riff toting giants, who are still packing live shows with tonnes of hits after over half a century together as a band, who missed the UK out of their current 'No Filter' European tour due to an apparent "lack of available venues because of sporting fixtures".

Their last UK show was back in 2013 at British Summer Time in Hyde Park, an event organised by AEG and Rolling Stones will be hoping for some live satisfaction come next summer.
