The Maccabees announce they will split after 14 years

Yes it's true, The Maccabees have decided to split after 14 years. They announced the decision on their facebook page citing no "fallings out" and say that they will play some farewell shows later this year.

It comes at time when they were enjoying their peak years. Last year's album Marks To Prove It was a symbol of their maturity as a band and led the way to a headline slot at Latitude in 2016 (read our review).
