One of the most iconic British guitar bands of the 2000s are having their story told on the big screen. Dreaming of You: The Making of The Coral, which follows The Coral from their beginnings in Merseyside to their rise to fame, will be released in UK cinemas from Friday 12th September courtesy of Sony Music Vision and J6 Films.
Narrated by the band, Dreaming of You: The Making of The Coral combines archival footage, reconstruction, and animation to capture the story of six childhood outsiders from the Wirral who leave their seaside town of Hoylake in pursuit of musical glory.

Directed by Bradford-born filmmaker James Slater, whose long association with The Coral dates back to 2002, when he directed the music videos for their hits ‘In The Morning’ and ‘Pass It On’, the film features appearances from iconic indie bands of the era, including The Lightning Seeds and The Zutons.
The film will premiere at The Light Cinema New Brighton in the Wirral on 5th September, before screenings at The Picture House Liverpool on the 6th and The Curzon Soho on the 12th, featuring a Q&A with the band and director.
