Where: Victoria Gate, 3rd Floor Rooftop, George St, Leeds LS2 7AU

Bringing Manhattan to Yorkshire, East 59th is an American-style restaurant by day and a swanky rooftop terrace by night. While the food in the day is unapologetically yank, with huge slabs of meat followed by heaps of ice cream, it's when the sun set that this place comes alive. As the night goes on and drinks come thick and fast, you wouldn't be blamed for thinking you'd been transported across the Atlantic.

So if you're after one of the best beer gardens in Leeds, but want to shake or stir some sophistication into your evening, then East 59th is the place to go.

Hyde Park Book Club Cafe

When: 9am - 12am every day

Where: 27-29 Headingley Ln., Headingley, Leeds LS6 1BL

This quaint space is one of the coolest spots in the Hyde Park area. Housed in an old, disused petrol station adjoined to a fancy dress shop, Hyde Park Book Club started life as a cafe in 2015 before transforming into a live music and arts space across two floors, with food, drink, books, and records all on offer today, its incredible what they've done with the space.

Now, fit with an outdoor area, and a variety of locally brewed beers, it's a great stop off if your+'re around hyde park on a sunny day, so whilst not the most well-known Leeds beer garden, its character alone earns it a place o this list.

Belgrave is another bar that needs no introduction if you are a resident of Leeds. You're unlikely to find more fun than what goes on around these three floors of boozy brilliance. The only thing that beats what's inside is what's on top; it's fantastic beer garden. The spacious rooftop terrace gets jam-packed the second the clouds subside so you'll have to get there early to get a seat, but when you do the atmosphere is thriving.
