Swamp 81's Chunky presents Amplify

This Saturday, discover Deptford with a top line-up at the Albany for Amplify, programmed in collaboration with Swamp 81's Chunky and UNcover Music Company. Swamp 81 commander-in-chief, Loefah takes to the decks with Norwood Soul Patrol, Manchester-based DJ Illum Sphere also joins the line-up alongside the inimitable Buggsy, who?s performances at Glastonbury and Boomtown this summer earned him a serious following amongst the drum and bass community. Plus, with a special guest to be announced on the night, punters can expect a mix of classic funk and soul to house and electro. Programmed in association with the Albany?s Uncover Music Company, performances from up-and-coming musicians add an extra dimension to the night. Co-producer and Uncover mentor, Chunky says of the concept ?It?s a great experience for the young artists as the whole process puts them in contact with not only established artists, but also more developing artists like themselves. All of this really comes across and it?s bred some really unorthodox combinations that you wouldn?t usually predict in a line-up, it?s class.? The night takes place in the Albany?s main space, along with another room for more intimate performances, you can discover up-and-coming artists and also get down to some of the finest DJs on the scene at the moment. Doors open at 7.30pm, end time 1am. Ages 13+
