The 12th edition of Sónar will take place on 16, 17 and 18 June.
Sónar 2005 is marked by a return to what is organic and physical in the expression of live music.
Lcd Soundsystem, Le Tigre, Soulwax, Hood, Radian, Hurtmold + Rob Mazurek, Mouse On Mars and To Rococo Rot, as well as the legendary The Durutti Column and newcomers Efterklang, The Beautiful People and Battles, are indicative of this unorthodox trend increasingly common among live acts with electronic music at the forefront.
Voice gains presence in Sónar 2005, with performances by Roisin Murphy, vocalist of Moloko, M.I.A., the new sensation in London’s underground, or Jamie Lidell. As well as e La Soul, Afra, Noah 23, Edan & Insight and the hyperactive Doseone fronting the avant-rap sextet Subtle, important proposals which represent hip-hop in its different aspects.
