After 12 years, Sheffield's tank will be closing down. Tickets are now available for their farewell party

Date published: 6th Aug 2026

After 12 years, Tank in Sheffield has announced it will be closing down. The nightclub will host one last party on Saturday 8th August, from 9pm to 5am, with the last entry being at 11:30pm, as a final goodbye.

Tank is a popular underground nightclub in Sheffield city centre. It's known for having iconic and cutting-edge headliners in the electronic music scene. Their club nights specialise in house, bass, and techno nights, and they were popular amongst the city's students.

Releasing an official statement on their social media, Tank said: “It's been a journey we never imagined possible back in 2014 when we first opened. We've hosted some of the biggest names from around the world and thrown some of the biggest parties most clubs could only dream of. And we did it for 12 years solid; an achievement not to be taken lightly in today's nightlife industry. But with ever-growing costs and obstacles, we can no longer continue.”

The nightclub will be saying one last goodbye and to celebrate the last 12 years of the many events they have hosted. Having been a staple club in the city centre of Sheffield, Tank had a loyal following and was a loved spot from students too.

Tank stated: "Whether you've been with us since day one or joined us somewhere along the way, if you've loved and lived some of the best nights of your life in this unique and beautiful place, this is your last change to say goodbye."

Tickets for Tank’s farewell party are on sale now. Secure yours towards the bottom of this page for one last goodbye.
