Sheffield podcast festival Crossed Wires has added more names to its 2026 lineup.

Crossed Wires is the UK's biggest festival of its kind, showcasing live podcast recordings across Sheffield. It comes to the city from 2nd to 5th July 2026, bringing some of the biggest names in podcasting.

As well as live podcast recordings, there'll be after parties and one-off events across venues, including City Hall and Crucible Theatre.

Starting a day earlier this year, the Thursday will open with Greg James and Alice Levine (+ friends): A Night of Mistakes!, hosted by two of the driving forces behind Crossed Wires. This one's set for celebrity surprise guests and chaotic energy.

JaackMaate's Happy Hour has also been added to the lineup for the Friday, which will see YouTubers JaackMaate and Stevie White bringing the podcast’s silliness onto the stage at City Hall.

City Hall will also welcome comedians Elis James and John Robins for The Elis & John Show on the Saturday. Later on in the Ballroom, the official Crossed Wires after party, All My Friends, will be hosted by Dave Masterman.

The other new acts just announced for this year are The Elis & John Show, The Magnus Archives, Always True Crime, and All My Friends (after party).

They join previously announced podcasts, including Get A Grip: Bras Off, The Blindboy Podcast, Always True Crime, Bold Politics with Zack Polanski, Dig It with Jo Whiley & Zoe Ball, If I Speak with Ash Sarkar and Moya Lothian-McLean, and more.

BBC Sounds Fringe will also be returning with an additional BBC Radio 4 takeover stage. Acts will be announced next month.

Crossed Wires was started by podcaster Alice Levine, producer Dino Sofos, and Tramlines festival co-founder James O'Hara. In its second year, radio DJ, TV presenter, and podcaster Greg James joined as Creative Director.
