SXSW London has waves of announcements that keep crashing at our door. Today, the festival has unveiled its list of world premieres for its Screen Festival programme this June.
Running from 1st–6th June, the latest reveal puts three major debuts, from literary adaptations to dark satire and cult animation, front and centre. Virginia Woolf’s Night and Day, Savage House, and Get Jiro, a trio of bold, genre-spanning movies, packed with big names, that truly set the tone.

Leading the Opening Night is Virginia Woolf’s Night and Day, from award-winning director Tina Gharavi. Starring Haley Bennett, Jack Whitehall, Lily Allen, Jennifer Saunders and Sally Phillips, the film follows an astronomer doing everything she can to avoid the pull of romantic love.
Joining as a headline premiere is Savage House, a darkly satirical trip into 18th-century England. With Richard E. Grant and Claire Foy at the centre, alongside Bel Powley and Jack Farthing, it follows protagonists Sir Chauncey and Lady Savage as they head on a blind, decadent pursuit of a better life.
Rounding things out with a distinctive touch, Adult Swim brings Get Jiro to the table. An animated adaptation of Anthony Bourdain’s cult graphic novel. The film is set in a near-future LA, where a sushi master seeks vengeance, and foodies literally kill to get seats at the city’s best restaurants.
Alongside the headline premieres, SXSW London has also revealed six films selected for its Official Competition. Titles include The Other Side of the Sun, The Red Hangar, Roya, Memory, Remake, and Only Rebels Win, with the selection bringing together filmmakers from across Europe, the Middle East and the Americas, all pushing forward new perspectives and daring approaches to contemporary cinema.
Anna Bogutskaya, Head of Screen at SXSW London, commented: “The films in our Official Competition embody what we are most excited about in contemporary cinema: no-holds-barred, deeply human and formally audacious films that provoke and challenge us to think wider, deeper and more empathetically.”
SXSW London takes place from 1st – 6th June 2026 across Shoreditch, with passes available now for those looking to catch these premieres first and explore the wider programme celebrating the convergence of creativity, culture, and technology.
