Pride’s first champion is back in action on October 19th, but who will he challenge?

It might be time for some Thrilling Heroics on October 19th, but for Dickie Divers it’s time to take matters into his own hands as he starts his path back towards the Pride Championship.

When the Pride Championship was formed there was one man who rose up above all others to become the first man to hold the title. Dickie Divers battled his way up the ranks until finally defeating Glen Dunbar and Mark Coffey in the finals before forging a new path, bringing the title honour, respect and worth in his year long run as champion.

Back in March his time as champion came to an end when Glen Dunbar cashed in his guaranteed title match earlier than announced, catching Divers off guard in the opening match of the night. With the title gone from his waist, Divers immediately got in touch with Pride management to arrange his rematch and as of yet, the call has been unanswered.

When he returned to action in June, an irate and frustrated Dickie Divers opened the show, making it clear to everyone around him that he was sick of waiting and after months of his calls for a rematch being refused, he would be taking matters into his own hands.

On October 19th Dickie Divers is coming back, and he’s ready to fight his way back to the Pride title. Who will he call out when he arrives in Cambuslang? Will he demand one of the Founders? Someone standing in his way? A challenge to prove himself? Or is he looking for a victim to vent his frustrations out on?
