The decision has been made in response to current government restrictions on businesses and events and projections by the organisers on when life might start to return to normal.
We?re hoping to deliver the event in as close to its normal format as we?re able, and the team is keeping a constant eye on what?s going on in terms of lockdowns, tiers and vaccines. Keep an eye on our website and socials for the latest information.
Porthleven Food Festival Committee Chairman Alec Short said: ?We usually open ticket sales in December and we know locals, traders and visitors are looking for information on what?s happening with the Festival.
?We were the first event in Cornwall, possibly nationwide, to cancel our 2020 event just a few weeks before we went into the first national lockdown. It has been a truly terrible year for the UK events industry and we want to give the Food Festival the best chance it has to go ahead in a fun format that?s as close to normal as we can possibly make it. This is always a great party in Porthleven and we don?t want to lose that for another year.?
Porthleven Food Festival 2021 will take place on July 2-4th 2021.
