If Ian Brown and Unkle weren't enough to make you go screaming for a ticket then this incredible line-up sure will.

Parklife Festival brings over 40 acts across six stages which sees the like of Calvin Harris, Friendly Fires, Vitalic, Erol Alken, Kissy Sellout, High Contrast, Andy C, Roni Size, Booka Shade and oh so much more come together as part of Platt Fields Parks 100th anniversary celebrations.

15,000 festival goers will catch some of the finest live acts and DJs on Saturday 12th June to see the result of the collaboration between some of Manchesters finest promoters including The Warehouse Project, Mad Ferret, Trof, Now Wave, Ape and Metropolis.

Mercury Music Prize-nominated Friendly Fires will headline the main stage along with number one artist Calvin Harris as well as electro house veteran Booka Shade, Radio 1 DJ Kissy Sell Out, Japanese Popstars, Krysko and Greg Lord.

Bloc Party front man Kele Okereke will headline the Now Wave Stage that will also feature some of the best UK talent around.

The Big Top is for the avid dance fans with Vitalic, Erol Alkan, Simian Mobile Disco, Fake Blood, Boy 8-Bit, Mixhell and Andro joining forces to take things up a notch.

You would think that this was it...oh no! Throw Ape & Metropolis into the mix and you have a Dubstep and Drum n Bass fans dream. These chaps will be hosting two arenas with Bass Arena 1 focusing on the dubstep with the headline act Magnetic Man. Support will come from Skream & Benga, Toddla T, MTV European Music Award winners Buraka Som Sistema, Joker, DJ Zinc and much more.

The second arena hosted by Ape & Metropolis is jam packed with Drum N Bass DJs and Producers including DJ Hype, Andy C, Roni Size, High Contrast, Goldie, Sub Focus, Danny Byrd and Emalkay amongst others.

And before all you avid football fans declare your absence due to the second day of the FIFA World cup then fear no more. The England game against South Africa will be shown at 8.30pm! Next thing, they will declare free booze during half time! (not going to happen - ed)

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday 17th March at 9am and unsurprisingly we expect them to fly out!

Remember, The Warehouse Project presents Ian Brown the day earlier on Platts park who will be joined by a diverse range of leading artists including dance supremos UNKLE, Bad lieutenant, which features New Order front man guitarist Bernard Sumner, Manchester rockers The Whip, uber cool turntablists Scratch Perverts, celebrated Hacienda DJ Mike Pickering, ex New Order bass Peter Hook (DJ set) and the Now Wave DJs on a line up that will guarantee manchesters biggest weekend of music of 2010!
