Oasis fans have collectively been scammed out of £2 million since tickets went on sale for the band’s 2025 reunion tour, says Lloyds Banking Group.
The analysis was based on concert ticket purchase scams reported by Lloyds Banking Group customers, including customers of Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and Bank of Scotland, where Oasis was referenced as part of the claim, between August 2024 and March 2025.
Following a 15-year public feud, the Gallagher brothers put their differences aside and announced the tour in August last year. Of course, fans we delighted and rushed to grab tickets. Days later, the tickets went on sale for the Oasis Live ’25 tour, due to start on 4th July 2025 in Cardiff.
Fans encountered a few problems, including queues, but also scams.

Lloyds Banking Group has now revealed the extent of successful scams on Oasis fans since tickets went on sale.
Based on the volume of fraud reports made by its own customers, Lloyds said Oasis fans made up more than half (56%) of all reported concert ticket scams so far this year, with them losing £436 on average.
One customer lost over £1,700, with the average loss being around double (£200 more) than the average concert ticket scam loss seen by the bank.

Those aged 35 to 44 were most likely to fall victim to Oasis ticket scams, making up nearly a third (30%) of all cases.
Based on its share of banking customers, it estimates that across the UK, there are likely to have been at least 5,000 victims since tickets went on sale, with more than £2 million lost to fraudsters.
Lloyds said ticket scams often involve fake adverts, posts, or listings on social media, such as unofficial Facebook groups dedicated to buying and selling Oasis tickets. Scammers also offer tickets at discounted prices or tickets to events that have already sold out at inflated prices.
