11 - 19 July 2008
Celebrating the convergence of music and visual art in the digital age, the
third Noise of Art summer events will take place over a week on the Southbank,
in East London and central London and will include art installations, club nights,
gigs and music and film events.
With four out of the five events FREE, you can go to the entire Noise of Art
Festival for a mere £8.60! (which makes them one of the nicest little independent
festivals on the planet).
This summer Noise of Art will be hosting a weeks worth of events that will see
one of Germany's biggest electronic exports, Booka Shade
, headline. The
original Get Physical artists will be creating a new live set to accompany an
extremely rare screening of Helio's 1911 film, 'Inferno'. Tickets are available from
the BFI website on a first come first served basis priced at a very reasonable
£8.60. In customary Noise of Art style, the film will be followed by a club night in
the BFI with a host of guest DJs playing in the finely appointed Benugo Bar.
Noise nof Art is also especially pleased that Big Chill Festival will be contributing
two films by Gong Gong and Cornelius to the evening programme.
