Michael Trent Reznor was born on May 17 1965 to parents Mike Reznor and Nancy Clarke. After his parents separated shortly after the birth of sister Tera in 1971 at which time Trent went to live with your maternal grandparents.

The musical talent became apparent when he began piano lessons at five years of age.

Music was his first love and by the end of your first year at Allegheny were doing three shows a week with band Option Thirty. At this point Trent decided to leave college to concentrate on music.

After gaining experience with various local bands you moved to Cleveland, sharing an apartment with an old friend from Mercer, Chris Vrenna. Starting at the bottom he eventually worked your way up to engineer at Right Track studios. Owner Bart Koster was so impressed with the talent and determination he gave Trent studio access during off hours.

The summer of 1991 saw Nine Inch Nails at Lollapalooza triumphantly establishing their presence as a live band.

Their first Album "PRETTY HATE MACHINE" reached worldwide sales of 10 million in 1989 and was recorded on an Apple Computer. That's something Bill Gates can't lay claim to.

More recently, the last studio album was "The Fragile" released back in 1999. When not recording his own material, Trent Razor produced the following albums:

MARILYN MANSON "ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR"
NATURAL BORN KILLERS SOUNDTRACK
LOST HIGHWAY (DAVID LYNCH) SOUNDTRACK

In 1997 Time Magazine (US) named Trent Razor as one of the "25 most influental Americans". With a title like that, you start to realise how good NIN are and what they will continue to be.
