On Friday 31st October 2025, a new venue will be opening under the two arches of Salford Central Station. Named Tangerine, the new venue is set to have seven independent kitchens, as well as martini bars and creative spaces, all in a music hall.

Transforming two pairs of long-derelict railway arches on New Bailey Street, Tangerine is set to be a creative environment rather than a single venue. With Platform 1 hosting the seven independent kitchens for the daytime, it'll have an array of cuisines. Including Vanda, a family-run Parisian-Ukrainian bakery; Panthra Hot Taco, a new-wave taqueria; Juicy, a burger joint; and Yo Dutchie, a Dutch-Japanese collaboration doing loaded fries and yakitori skewers.

Platform 2 will then host nighttime events with the Grand Departures bar, featuring 40 taps, a specialist martini programme, which will also have seven espresso martini styles. As well as a live music and performance space that doubles as an arthouse stage.

With the opening day falling on Halloween, Tangerine's launch night will be a two-night Halloween launch festival across the two platforms, showcasing the new venue's chic, stylish layout. Free entry is available through signing up on Tangerine's website, where you'll be able to witness DJs, performances and exclusive food collabs from the Canteen Collective.
