Musical T3rrorism meetsRJ

So how did it all begin?

It all started when my dad got me a home mix cd mixer for my 16th birthday, back then vinyl was still the medium of choice for most DJ's so I quit college and got a job, saved up and got myself some proper decks. I got my first gig when i was 17 and played regularly at freeparties and raves for years, "cutting my teeth" as they say!

Where did the name come from?

Well, every DJ name i could think of sounded tackier than a teenage boys wank sock so I just went with RJ Eastham (My first initials and surname) , people started calling me RJ when they wanted my attention so I just shortened it to that, no science behind it whatsoever! haha

What was your first record you bought?

I bought a stack of records when I got my first set of turntables but the most memorable of those would have to be an original pressing of DJ Misjah & DJ Tim - Access, BK's remix of Music is Moving, a load of other Nukleuz tackle, a couple of StayUpForever releases and some proper hard as nails european Techno \o/

What's your favourite tune of all time?

I'll give you my top 5 cos one is not enough for somebody that consumes music as fast as I do, in no particular order

Shaun M & Abandon - Another Mans Language

Chris Liberator & Dave The Drummer - One Night In Hackney

Chris C & Madam Zu meets Ben Kaye - Rock The Target (Barley Legal Remix)

Heavens Cry - Til Tears do us Part (Stimulant DJ's remix)

Paul Glazby - I Need To Know

What's is your real name if you use an alias and how old are you?

My actual name is Rick Eastham, i'm 26 going on 16 :P

Where do you live?

I live in the lovely shithole of Preston!

How big is your vinyl collection? What do you think of CDJ's?

I have about 350 vinyl, i miss them sometimes! I think CDJ's are good if they're a

decent set of Pioneers, any others pale in comparison if you ask me and CD's are a lot lighter than a box full of records!

What are your feelings on the MC's?

Never been a fan, can't tell what they are saying half the time! I once had to endure an MC that made weird sounds all the way through my set, not even words, it would of worked with Psytrance but not over Hard House and industrial Techno FFS!

What do you do outside of the dance music scene?

I live, breath, eat and shit electronic music. I'm either checking out somebodys mix, playing on the decks myself or spending hours making endless 303 riffs and making them squeal (i really should create some other sounds sometime haha)

When you play is this pre planned set?

I have done in the past but nowadays I just wing it, i think it works lol

And Finally Knightrider or A-team?

If i have to choose, A-Team was the one I watched most as a kid but in general, all TV is shite!

Thanks guys, I had fun answering these questions! Don't forget to check me out on Facebook, Mixcloud and Soundcloud, links below peeps! Hope to see you on the dancefloor soon!:)
